Surprise!

We were eating our lunch and I noticed that Sarah kept looking up at the clock. Then when I was washing up, Jess came into the kitchen and I knew I had let her out earlier....

Then Luke's head appeared around the door - I'd only left him in Edinburgh a week ago!

It turned out that D, Sarah and possibly even Jess had known for ages that he was coming for a visit. I was so pleased to see him :-)

It is so lovely to see him and Sarah together again (the last time was in Arran at the end of February). We took Jess for a walk up Newtonairds Hill. I thought the weather was warm but Sarah is used to balmy London temperatures and needed a lot of layers. The cold no doubt gets in through those holes in her jeans :-)

I'm going to have to go shopping tomorrow or we will run out of food!
