Up the hill
Haven't been up the hill for weeks and weeks so off we went for a little run about. I found a stick at the bottom of the hill and carried it all the way to the top, where I had a little lie down so that I could chew it.
…...............And that's about as exciting as it's got today.
We might be coming out of lock down, but actually my human still isn't really doing very much. She did a bit of shopping for a friend this morning and went to IKEA to buy some meatballs. Couldn't believe how busy the car park was but as she just went straight to the 'meatball' section by the exit she didn't have to trek around the whole shop. She doesn't really see the point in going shopping for 'non-essential items' (ie anything that isn't food) because it's just too much hassle. Though having said that, she could do with buying a new pair of trainers because the ones she's been wearing on all my mammoth walks over the last few months are pretty much worn out. But if you can't try shoes on in shops then she might as well just buy some on-line and then have all the hassle of sending them back if they don't fit. Grrrrrr..........
Oh and does anyone know the answer to this question regarding 'track & trace'???? Ann is getting very confused about how it works......................................
Ann has booked to go out for Sunday lunch with friends and has given her contact details. If somebody in the restaurant subsequently tests positive for Covid-19 presumably Ann will be contacted and then presumably she will have to contact her friends (because the restaurant hasn't got their details). BUT.................. what Ann doesn't understand is...................... Ann & her friends all isolate for 14 days, but does the 14 days start from the day that they went to the restaurant (which it probably won't because it will probably take a couple of days to trace & track everyone) or does it start from the day that they get 'traced & tracked' (even though we may well have been out & about for a couple of days after being in the restaurant). And all the adverts are saying, 'don't leave home, apart to get tested', but if Covid has a 14 day incubation period what is the point of leaving home and getting tested for a test that will probably be negative. On the other hand, if they stay in for 14 days and don't have any symptoms, do they then have to go and get tested and if the test is positive, do they have to stay in for a further 14 days? Or once 14 days have passed does it not matter because they are no longer infectious in which case, what is the point of having a test?
It is all very, very, confusing..................................
