A wonderful walk!
Sunday 19th July 2020 (backblip)
Heavy rain overnight .... but it cleared up early & turned into a lovely day :-)
We headed off up the road this afternoon ..... the sun was shining ... most of the time ...... there was a light breeze so it wasn't too hot .... just right!
We came across this Robin busily collecting food for its young .... he paused briefly to pose for me!
We nipped up onto the riverbank for a few minutes which is where we saw the Small Skipper (bottom right)
Coming back down we saw lots more butterflies at the bottom of the bank ...... including this Brown Argus (top right) .... I was well chuffed to get a photo of it .... an alternative view as an Extra :-)
This Gatekeeper (bottom left) also posed for me with its wings at least partly open .... so it also had to be blipped :-)
The Yellowhammer was perched at the top of his favourite tree ..... not completely hidden by leaves this time ..... so I've added him as an Extra :-)
We also saw Blue Tit, Great Tit, Whitethroat, Goldfinch & Chaffinch. The Swifts & Swallows were circling overhead too :-)
All in all a very good walk :-)
Stay safe everyone :-)
