Contemplating the weekend

I felt slightly unmotivated today since I heard that a friend of mine died this morning. I just wanted  to hug his wife, but realised she won't be having hugs from anyone in this Covid climate. Very sad.

I made this painting yesterday after doing the preliminary work earlier in the month. It's landscape near Braughing in Hertfordshire. I don't particularly enjoy photographing landscape but enjoy painting them if I have a mind to.
