Barley functional

In the early evening my friend Wayne showed me a walking route on the fringes of West Cambridge, which skirted some lovely fields, including this barley field. This felt like a wholesome activity at the end of the day, as the rest of it was spent conked out on the grass with a bagful of snacks from Aldi.
