A tiny toy

I bought a toy!
This 2cm cube is a camera costing less than £25 - can't really be any good, can it?
Well, it did what I wanted - took close up video of the birds on the feeder without scaring them away. This was the first one

- the camera has a magnet so I just stuck it on a pole that holds feeders. The birds looked at it but there was no noise or movement so they ignored it. I had no way of knowing what it was seeing (I did order a wifi one but couldn't get it to connect with my phone or iPad so changed it for the simple camera only) It could only see a part of one feeder - and the butterflies on the Buddleia - I will try a find a place where it can see more feeders less close to. I had it set on motion activation but unfortunately there was a breeze so the feeders were moving and also some birds were using the upper perches of this feeder causing it to swing so it recorded when there were no birds in shot.
But is a cheap bit of fun - could use it for surveillance too, or as a body cam, or who knows what else.
Can't put the video on here but the link should take you to Flick'r.
Note: the video was shot this evening - I haven't worked out how to set the date/time yet!
