New Friend

One of the mama deer brought her babe for a visit this morning. Look at this little creature! The pattern of its dots! The stripes (one on each side) down the back of its neck! The sweet thin pointy face! I hope the pointy face remains an identifier after it loses its spots. I want to say "her" but I'm not 100% sure at this point.

Also - see extras - I caught a pretty and very tiny butterfly I don't think I've photographed before. A red-banded hairstreak. It was on a lily pad in the pond - right in front of the snapping turtle's head. Still there! I also heard a loud "PLOP" as I walked up there, so apparently the bullfrog is also still there. They must have reached some kind of an agreement.
