Night of the Comet

I stayed up late watching a movie and then decided to look for the Neowise comet as conditions were good. 
Every other night I have looked there have been too many clouds.

Apparently it has dimmed, I found it very difficult to see with the naked eye.

I found a star chart and was able to locate the rough position and with binoculars I could just about make it out. 
A long exposure picks it out easily, so it was just a case of finding a spot in the garden for my camera.

Not a great effort, but I was too tired to experiment much further.

Glad I saw it......the last one I remember seeing really clearly was Hale-Bopp.
