Black Coombe

We walked up Black Combe today...it is in the SW corner of The Lake District close by the Irish Sea.

It was Summer when we set off, but much cooler and windier on the top!

Normally there are fabulous views of Wales, Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man...

But the visibility was poor today...no sign of Blackpool Tower, Snowdon, Scafell Pike or people painting their front doors green in Ireland...

Never mind...the picnic in the wind shelter at the top went down a treat! A great 4 hour walk!
