The high speed Red Jet 7 carries up to 277 passengers the 12 miles to Cowes, Isle of Wight in 20 minutes.
The car ferry Red Osprey in the background can carry up to 220 cars and their passengers but takes a more leisurely 60 minutes for the trip.
