Through in the capital today conferring with people about flood risk management. It was a two day conference - today was the second day and quite a lot of people seemed to be a bit worse for wear after last night's 'social'. I was just along for today so no such problems for me.

The event was at Our Dynamic Earth which, apart from its function as a conference venue, I've never quite figured out what it's trying to be. On the plus side, it's right next to the Scottish Parliament which I got a few half decent shots of at lunchtime. It's a pretty cool building.

My pal Campbell popped in tonight and bought me a few bottles of his latest beer which is invariably excellent. I tried a bottle of the 'Runkle Bark' tonight which was indeed superb. His son names the beer and this brew is supposed to be called 'Uncle Bart' I think but Oscar can't quite get his mouth round it so his version has stuck - Runkle Bart it is!
