Skeletal

I put lots of alliums in the garden this year, which have brought a relay of blooms since April.  This is one of the May ones, reduced to a skeleton, but still lovely.

The day after guests leave is always a little gloomy, and the weather agreed - an overcast day and even some rain.  I had this idea that I'd get all the work out of the way and then have an afternoon in the garden but - as is often the case - it didn't work out that way.
