Elizabeth’s Poetry

This is a book of my cousins poetry given to me for my birthday. She was my twin cousin but for a day and we wanted to celebrate our 80th birthdays together but her cancer took her before that could happen
Her father had her leave school at 15 so her education took place after she had married and had two children. She got several degrees including English and Theology and then a Doctorate in Social work so she was no slug
In latter years had quite a few things published and won several awards. This book was launched on her 80th Birthday she knew her literary friends were going to finish the task after she died
I feel so proud of her and wept when it arrived in the mail
Today on National Radio it was reviewed. The last few poems were written about facing up to cancer treatment losing her hair etc.
