It's 9.15pm and our cat is teaching us how to relax after a long, varied and challenging day.
As David Attenborough (Africa on BBC1) tells us how half a million lions used to prowl Africa's plains 50 years ago, our very own lion-like creature is curled up by the radiator quite ignorant of his royal cousins.
What Aslan does have in common with this most regal of animals is the name he was given, inspired by CS Lewis's Christ-figure in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
Aslan - so much better than Nacho, the name he was given at the RSPCA.
