This is a butterfly that likes to land on our purple blazing star plants and sup the delicious nectar on tap. Interesting double straw thingy. According to wikipedia ... the adults use their long tongues to feed on the nectar of a variety of flowers, mud, and even animal faeces. Glad I washed my hands after taking this photo.
