Park Life 6: Beauchief Gardens

There is a good sized breeding colony of these Mandarin Ducks on a dam adjacent to these gardens, and as the two were part of the same bequest to the city, I'm counting this as one of my Park Life series, as well as part of my Month of the Duck theme. Hillyblip's photo on the Blip Big Year list is infinitely better, as is the one I took for its entry on my own bird challenge, but this shot shows them in force and with the ladies in tow. I'm tagging it for this reason so people can see what the females look like, if they are included.
As it is the Month of the Duck, we had some rather tasty confit de canard for tea tonight
