After Dark

Wine to end a happy day
is not essential.
If it focuses the mind on all that's good
that is tangential
And sleep that follows (or does not)'s
inconsequential
when, as for dreams, it promises
potential
for great subconscious thoughts:
the existential.

Thank you so much for all the kind comments and stars on my yesterblip, and to those who were able to supply me with the wildflower's name, Dark Mullein, or Aaron's Rod, almost exclusive to South Lincolnshire, apparently. Which explains why it was new to me!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend. We're still (exhaustedly) delighting in our grand-daughter, for whom we did much looking-after today. She walked with her pushalong walker for the first time today, which was obviously very exciting to witness. She's such a lovely little girl, and so sweet-natured (like her parents). We feel truly blessed.
