Carn nan Eoin

I had a wee jaunt around the Kiloran MacPhies this afternoon, the first two are perched spectacularly above the beach. The image is the trig on the highest, which at only 143m has some commanding views. We could see the hills of Mull to the north and round to Scarba, Jura and Islay in the east.

After this peak the terrain became less impressive and more of a heather bog hop but I managed to 'bag' the other five MacPhies in the immediate vicinity. During my walk, I encountered three separate herds of wild goats, one golden eagle and one white-tailed.

This evening we ate in the Colonsay Hotel. There were only three other covers in the restaurant which was slightly surprising. Lots of hand sanitiser and face coverings about. On the way home, I took Shanks' Pony and went over the 'old road' in order to bag another two MacPhies. 12 remain.
