SPLITS

This wren has been so busy shouting alarm calls to ward off potential danger to its nestlings recently that it's had the opposite effect and attracted attention to itself. In fact the other day I nearly stumbled into its nest while trying to photograph the parent, so since then I've been more respectful and watched it from the other side at a discreet distance.

I've been feeling really low and dejected today - it'll only be temporary, and the wren and the walk cheered me up. Early night tonight.
