Masked bellringing

As from Monday, the wearing of a mask in any enclosed public space will be obligatory. We rang for a practice this evening but, for safety reasons, the person stuck to the own rope and we were just about able to keep a metre apart. I went to the market in the morning to get my fish and mussels but was not very impressed with the social distancing. On several occasions I kept the correct distance from the person next to me and then someone came and stood in that space. All the stallholders were wearing masks but the village policeman who is not. I thought this was a bad example but he is the son of the maire and he is something of a law unto himself!
