Mistaken identity
I spotted this well disguised straw coloured damselfly on the heathland this morning. Initially I was sure that it was another White-legged damselfly and therefore worth photographing and reporting for the White-legged Damselfly Investigation. Only when I got really close could I see that it lacked the characteristic 'hockey stick' mark on the thorax. It is in fact an immature male Common Blue damselfly. Tricky things these damselflies.
