Friday night dinner

Its Friday night, and we're not cooking. Our favourite local cafe/bistro, The Sitting Room, had a deal on for two mains, 2 sides and 2 drinks for £20. Couldn't say no.

Mrs G had the spicy chicken burrito, I had a chilli cheese burger. We had chips and mozzarella sticks in the side. Mrs G had a wee bottle of prosecco and I had a beer to wash it all down. Was perfection.


With our dinner we watched the Eurovision film on netflix with Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams. (They are in the film, not in our house). This was on the recommendation of a friend who loved it and called it the film of the year. It was good. Not great. Not the film of the year. But with covid still going on, I suppose there aren't many films to choose from.

In other news, I got new running trainers today. I retired my black and orange Ghosts. They've served me well over the past couple of years. I probably wore them far longer than I should have, but over the past couple of years I've had period of months without running. Much more into it now.
So.i say goodbye to my faithful black and orange ghosts,at they rest in peace. And I say hello to my.new black and orange ghosts.

I just went for the new version of the same shoe. If it ain't broke dont fix it.

Taking them for a test run tomorrow morning.
