Friday at Last!

What a long, strange, emotionally wrought week it's been. But now it's Friday evening at 6:00 pm and what a gorgeous evening it is. Beautiful, cool air, blue, blue skies. And of course Izzy is home :-)

I played a round of golf today (did pretty well) and really enjoyed the company of my girlfriends. Worked on my class, had a facial...imagine that! Then out to the garden to see what there was to be seen.

This Calla Lily leaf caught my eye, with the sun shining through its fabulous leaves. It's funny, it comes up very late in my garden - even when everyone else's are blooming it's just coming up. It takes forever to bloom (it's a very cool gingery color) but provides some really stunning foliage in the back of the garden. I probably could have used this for abstract Thursday. And now it's Friday and I didn't photograph a flower. Oh well!
