Across the Solway

Its been a beautiful day today, sunny and blue skies all day long! Stopped and chatted with a friend and her two collies on the marsh this morning who I hadn't seen for a while and she thought that this view would be a good one to blip. She was right, but I had to take it at full zoom and this was the best I could do! We were shortly joined by another friend and her collie so it was like a mother's meeting on the marsh this morning.

I had to go to Silloth this afternoon for work and was hoping to get there early so I could walk Bonnie on the beach but alas there wasn't any spare time and all we could do was look at the beach as we drove by. Conditions were perfect, tide was well out and the beach looked very inviting! I didn't even stop to take photos!! So if its not raining tomorrow afternoon I think that's where we'll head. We then had a few other places to go to and missed the sunset which I was trying very hard not to think about! There'll be others!

As I was on the laptop this morning I glanced up at the window and saw an impression of a large bird which flew into it yesterday. Its amazing how much detail is on the window, you can see the outline of the beak, head and even an eye as well as the wings and body. I did rush outside to have a look but it flew off, bet it had a headache this morning. Also just a few minutes before that a blackbird flew into another window, so my stickers aren't working anymore! The blackbird was quite stunned and I kept an eye on it until it was able to fly off.
