Lovely day

Warm and sunny so we had a drive out to Belvoir. The castle has renovated the old engine yard and turned it into a rather nice retail place with small independent shops, garden centre and eatery. We didn’t want to go for the shops but thought a coffee would be nice and they have outside tables, but they weren’t open until later. We had a wander round and then noticed there was a coffee cabin in the castle carpark, well organised and lovely coffee. The view past the engine yard was great from where we were sitting.
Made bread and a cake after lunch and then vegetable lasagne for dinner.
The cake is rhubarb and orange and is for friends coming for garden visit tomorrow, I will make scones in the morning.
Just watched the queen knighting Sir Tom, how wonderful but that sword looked a bit dangerous.
