February Daily Challenge - Landscape
Day 6 of KaliBug's February daily challenge - Feb. 6th: A landscape, and another near miss for MissyMoo's February daily challenge (Soft: Take a photo of something deliciously soft.).
Work has started to calm down a bit now, and for the first time for ages I got a lunch break, which was useful with a topic like Landscape.
I have my own definition of Landscape photography - anything you can take on a walk in the country, I normally follow this with my definition of Cityscape - the same but in an urban area and excluding anything that includes people as the prime subject.
That makes this a Cityscape (by my definition) unless you go back a few hundred years to when this was open fields. Anyway, this was the nearest to countryside that I was going to see during daylight hours so here it is. For those of you young enough to have done Media Studies at school, this is the site of the former London Transport skid pan, where Reg Varney drove the buses for "On the Buses". Those too old to have had the opportunity of studying Media Studies, may prefer to deny being old enough to have seen the original.
What does this have to do with soft?, well Eider Duck down pillows are very soft, there were some ducks on the lake as well, though you can only see a heron and a coot here, but none of them were likely to have as soft down as the Eider. Tenuos link to soft? - of course!
