Ladybird feast

I have been watching this thistle for a couple of weeks in the hope that the large group of black aphids would attract a ladybird or two, as had occurred here a few years ago.  Two ladybirds have arrived and have started to consume the aphids. It will be interesting to see how long they stay around as there is enough for on this one plant to last for a long time.
