Out to Botany Bay
I see a potential up-sun mono shot likely to offer silhouettes and I just can't help meself. This was just before we left for home. Some young people were enjoying themselves by the shore of Botany Bay at Kurnell. You can see things in LARGE (with a black background) that you simply can't see on this page. Frustrating!!
Kurnell is the first landing place of Captain James Cook on the mainland of "New Holland" (later to be named "New South Wales"). This year, there were going to be ceremonies to mark the 250th anniversary of that event back in April but you-know-what put the kybosh on all that.
Some wonderful sculptures had been commissioned for the precinct. One of them appears in extras. I didn't have the time to shoot it properly and so I am popping back as soon as I can, to try for a surreal style time-exposure.
