Civilised!

(Fred - apologies for stealing your joke for the title...)

It was a really great (but unusual) day today. Having not really travelled anywhere since March, I (Annie) drove from Aylesbury -> Cambridge -> Sheffield -> Cambridge -> Aylesbury.

Having picked my stepmum up in Cambridge, we both headed up north for the small, rearranged, socially distanced civil partnership of my brother David and his partner Fred. The registrar has only reopened today for weddings in Sheffield, and we were group number 4! With “2m” spots and hand sanitizer it was unusual, but a really lovely ceremony very well carried out.

The strangest bit of the day was having to raid that mystery end of the wardrobe, that isn’t the lockdown jeans and t-shirt end. And where on earth did my proper shoes get to? Can you wear a nice formal dress with orange crocs?
