Gull Watch

Having been let down by an online purchase, I summoned up the confidence to go to John Lewis for a similar item - a pity I did not go there first, it was all very civilised, I had a lovely conversation with an assistant and I managed to purchase an anniversary card before leaving.

The Paolozzi sculptures have now been replaced  near the entrance, outside the Metropolitan Cathedral, providing a perfect viewpoint for a gull to watch the workmen from the St James redevelopment take their ease or conduct a survey of the traffic on the roundabout.
