It's a dog's life

Well it is if your name is Scout and you are a Retriever, Labrador Cross and you are the most soppy puppy (of 7 years old) in the whole world. Everyone who knows Scout loves him and even friends who are worried about dogs love the fact that he is just such a gentle giant. He knows his times - 7:30 breakfast, and 5 in the evening for tea. If Dinner isn't served m'lord there is pacing around the kitchen area and if you are locked into eye contact you are completely scuppered. This is a dog who knows how to train his minions.
He doesn't always come into the living room on an evening, unless the woodburner is on, then he will do an effortless impression of a gigantic animal rug, lying motionless for hours, only moving his head slightly to beckon his staff when he feels there should be some extra wood put on the fire. This boy knows who is in charge and we absolutely adore him :)
