A busy day starting with a supermarket shop. There were a few people queuing outside ...... first time for ages I haven't been able to go straight in. At least it was warm and dry.
After lunch we drove north. White Moss was packed and Grasmere was so busy that cars were parked on the grass verges. We continued past Thirlmere and up St Johns in the Vale. It was much more peaceful. I spotted this ringlet butterfly on a small thistle.
Home and after a mug of tea I loaded the car with the last of the hedge cuttings and took them to the recycling site. Thankfully there was no queue there.
