Bunker

We joined a tour around the Waldbrand military bunker, sat deep inside the hill below Beatenberg. The Festung was built during the First World War and used until 1997. Everything was down there still, all 5 huge cannons, enough beds for over 600 men, surgery, kitchen, all comms, vehicles, bar.....just incredible. It’s now privately owned. How on earth can one person own a fort?! Fully equipped for a war, but without live ammunition.
