The Vanishing

I'm a bit of a melancholic. I like to ride to places hardly anyone else visits. I dislike tourism and sight-seeing in general. Take Suodenniemi. It's a former, somewhat impoverished municipality. Eleven years ago it was annexed to a larger neighbour. It has an Eastern European atmosphere. I like it there. They have retained their old welcome-to sign by the wayside. I like its rustic aesthetics.
