Harry Potter has been a huge part of my life for 20 yrs. My home and heart are full of it. The books and movies are enjoyed many times a year as a nice safe place to take our emotions. The fight of good against evil, the struggles along the way and the ultimate defeat of evil foes.

Over the past few years JK Rowling has started to air some particularly troublesome views. At first these were easy to ignore, but more recently her non factual and very concerning views on everything Trans has made it impossible for me to even look at any of the many pieces of merchandise strewn around my home.

I was initially throwing these items out, but then decided a far better idea was to sell these items, which I have been doing, and, once sold, donating the money to Stonewall UK. This feels like a massive finger up to Rowling and it’s helping to eleviate the sadness I feel about having Harry taken so crudely from our lives.

If you want to donate to Stonewall,
