Apples

Thank you to everyone who has liked my butterflies and hares over the past few days.  I currently have 4 photos in the lower reaches of the Popular pages, for the first and probably last time :-)

No light today, a bit of drizzle, and definitely no butterflies or hares.

The people who used to live in our house had planted lots of small fruit trees not long before they sold.  I tracked down 35 of them today and tried to identify them - apples, pears, cherries, plums, greengages and quince.  When the fruits are a bit riper I will try to guess varieties.  The only fruit ripe now is a small plum with purple skin and green flesh.  I made a plum and almond crumble cake - delicious!
