Audannes hut from below

Our night in the hut was excellent. It is amazing what food they can produce in the middle of nowhere! Everything is brought in and taken out by helicopter. As we left this morning, the warden was preparing nets for the helicopter to pick up empty gas canisters and rubbish etc to take out. New deliveries will arrive at the same time. The photo shows the hut from lower down compared to yesterday’s photo from above. And, yes, I did need to use the toilet in the night.

After breakfast we set off walking back to Anzère, taking the route that follows one of the bisse irrigation channels. We were lucky and the rain held off.
