George Orwell's motorcycle?

Some time in the early eighties, I had a camping holiday on the isle of Islay. For a couple of days I visited it's neighbour, the island of Jura. One of Jura's claims to fame is that is where George Orwell wrote '1984.' I hitched the first 15 miles and walked the last three to find Barnhill, a house remotely located at the far north end of the island. I knew that this was where Orwell lived for a while in 1948. I had read that he went up a down Jura at great speed on a motorbike. I stumbled on the remains of two bikes in the corner of a field, and feel certain, that one of them must have been Orwell's. (Oily Rag, can you identify these bikes?)
