Dunnock?

Not exactly wide angle, but this could be a worm's eye view. I thought this was a wren when I first saw it on a bare patch of lawn from a distance, then a baby sparrow but I'm pretty sure it's a dunnock.

We ventured out to the bathroom showroom today. We drove to Chipping Norton in mrsfb's car, which blew the cobwebs away, literally. It was a successful visit. We managed to sort out most of what we needed to do for the en suite refurb. The main dilemma is what to do about the shower, which will be the most expensive component part. I'm beginning to wonder why we are considering spending so much on it, and why the showroom price is 50% higher than apparently identical on line items. We wore masks though no one else did. I also realised it is the first time since March that I have worn a pair of shoes. Trainers and occasional wellies have been the footwear of choice for the past 4 months.

The extra is entitled (bad) tempered butterfly. This red admiral was sunning himself on the back door window. There wasn't that much sun actually but I think he was annoyed that I opened the door and dislodged him from his comfortable resting place. I liked the way I could read the glass kitemark against his wing.

In other news mrsfb has managed to get a dental appointment. She was halfway through a course of treatment when the lockdown happened. We had emails saying the practice was now open again, but when we called they said they weren't and the emails had been sent out by head office without consultation as they still couldn't get enough PPE. However the dentist we see did have some PPE and was seeing some pateints, so we managed to get an appointment.
