Think Bigger
With the 180% car taxes (although I think this over 12 years) we have here in Denmark it makes car ownership more of a luxury than most other countries. The vast majority of us drive, shall we say, slightly used vehicles and depend greatly on the ingenuity of a friendly mechanic to hold them in one piece, mine just saved me getting a whole new exhaust system with a bit of pipe.
Other Danishness to be found here, other than the bikes, is the pram outside. You will see this a lot and often there will be a baby still inside while the mother is visiting a friend or sat in a café. I found this mind blowing when I first came here, the NYPD thought so too when a Danish woman tried this in New York. She was arrested and her baby taken away for 7 days. The practice might be dying out now.
