eb2 / journal shot
A lot of necessary but never to be seen jobs today.
At the same time the kitchen fitters were making amazing progress in the house.
Curved barge boards and soffits painted with primer.
Windows foam and silicone sealed.
Then ocd brain took over. The battens for the cladding are pressure treated. It seems standard now for that to mean they're blue. Theoretically they'll never be seen, but I'm leaving a 5mm expansion gap for the larch cladding at the corner joints, where it meets the doors and windows etc. And whilst I know the chances of actually seeing any blue is negligible, I also know I know its there.... So I've stained the battens dark brown which should, hopefully, accentuate the shadow line.
