New home

My cousin, BeachesDoogie, and his wife Impy are moving out west from Toronto! They're in the process of finalizing the purchase of this new home in a small community on Vancouver Island. They don't want to fly here to see it in person and asked G and me to have a look at it for them. The builder and local realtor did produce a good video of the house that gave them an excellent idea of what it was like.
We met with the builder, his wife, the local realtor, and the two realtors from Victoria whom we had recommended, all masked. We have a good friend from uni who was a realtor in Victoria, honest as the day is long, and he retired recently and recommended these two. Doogie and Impy decided to link up with them. We spent a couple of hours at the house and were impressed with the workmanship and the pride that the builder and his wife had in how the house had turned out. Lots of interesting modern features, very spacious, a different layout, and terrific views (see the extras). We FaceTimed D&I when we got home to talk about our impressions. Two thumbs up! 
It will be so great to have them living a short ferry ride away from us instead of around 4000 km away! They'll be moving here in the fall. What an adventure for them! 
Only the second time we've been off island in months. It all felt okay, and we did a bit of shopping for essentials. Some people wearing masks, and we definitely wore ours when we went inside places. It did feel good to have an outing, especially considering what the reason for the outing was. Can't wait to see Doogie and Impy in a few months! The time will fly by.  :-))
