'Golden Celebration' Rose

This rose is from the David Austin collection. David Austin OBE was a British rose breeder from Shropshire. In the early 1950s he set out to create beautiful roses with wonderful fragrances. From a hobby breeder he went on to create a collection of world renowned blooms. He died just 18 months ago. Today, David Austin Roses remains a family business run by his son and grandson. 
I have two bushes and look forward every year to breathing in the strong delicious aroma of combined notes of Sauterne wine and strawberries from their giant cups. It's a wonderful experience.
