Snowdrops

My first snowdrops of the year, spotted at Pollok Park. They are my absolute, all time favourite flowers. Of course, they are harbingers of Spring, and so its always lovely to see them. However I also think there's something rather poignant about them and I don't really know why. Perhaps it's because they are small and delicate, but it may also be because they are the first flowers I remember taking notice of as a young child. Our garden had big drifts of them and I would pick some for my room.
