Lowther Castle

I met GG at Lowther Castle today.  It was really good to see her for the first time since Covid-19.  She didn't seem herself, with things on her mind, but we had a good catch up and it was lovely to meet up.  It wasn't too busy at the Castle and we had goats cheese salad in the courtyard for lunch*.  We sat under one of the gazebos and managed to avoid the spots of rain.

After this we walked around the grounds - down a very steep wooded path to the River Lowther, where we saw several herons, along the river bank and back to the Castle.
