Velvet

My friend Jenny, whose family I photographed recently, popped by the other day with a bunch of flowers and some chocolates; a lovely surprise! It's been a while since I've had flowers in the house so naturally I got the camera out. I tried to capture that gorgeous velvety-ness you get with red roses, and I think in the end I was fairly successful! Any thoughts for how I could make it even better?
