I think that's what this is anyway. And it's not really something to encourage in the garden. I might be wrong - I'll send the photo to Buglife unless a blipper is able to tell me.

Beautiful day for being in the great outdoors.   Lovely walk with Lyn and Flora. Stopped at the cafe for an iced coffee and a chat which felt safe and a nice normal thing to do. Home for lots more garden.

Less cheerily making decisions about not going away later in the year. We had a lot of things planned for this year with a number of island visits. After changing the Orkney date from August to October we've now reluctantly concluded that it's too risky this year. There's a long drive and two ferries involved. Arran, Coll, Shetland and Crete were already off. Its a shame but not the end of the world. Better safe than sorry is definitely the motto of the year.
