Catch of the Day
A stormy day today so I had resigned myself to stay home. I was thrilled that we were getting much needed water so content to find chores to do around the house. Then...the sun started to peak out. That did it, I grabbed my camera and drove to the marsh. So glad I did! No one was there, and although I did get a little wet from a shower, I got to spend time with this guy who got a Bullhead Catfish and a leech while I was there.
This heron hates getting the catfish and once he gets one, he flies over to a tree stump and proceeds to bash it again and again before eating it. A friend cleared up the mystery....he said that these catfish have nasty barbs so the heron is actually being smart and tenderizing ;)
Now it is raining...so all good :)
