Great night out

Our garden furniture finally arrived yesterday, so our garden project is done.

We’ve been working hard for the last few weeks, transforming the upper part of the garden. This wasn’t really planned, it just sort of happened.

First, the old gazebo needed to be demolished. Then the decking had to be extended.

The fun part was erecting the pavilion; being a short arse meant I had to stand on our old picnic table and act as a prop while Mr A fastened it together.

We naively thought the bulk of the pavilion would be pre assembled....nope! But, with a bit of organisation (by me) and some nifty teamwork, we got it together in no time.
The delivery guy said it had the potential to make or break a relationship, thankfully we survived!

While we were waiting for the furniture, it gave us time to shop for accessories like blankets and lights.

Tonight was the first night we could sit out and appreciate it all, I think we’ve done a great job :-)
