Sunny Saturday... finally

Today was the first day to be out in the garden with the sun shining for about ten days.. finally... it was lovely.  Well we got to spend the afternoon out there only as the builders decided to work till 2 using a loud stone saw too regularly to hear ourselves think.  We thought they would go away by noon but oh no. . having cut the last stone someone clearly did or said something wrong and there was a full blown argument all shouted in Polish... sigh!  In the meantime the other side neighbours teenage boys must have had company and they sounded like two rutting stags.. they normally don't venture outdoors.. 
All quietened down eventually and we had a late (4o'clock) lunch outside.  Lovely.
My daughter gave me a pumpkin plant last weekend as she has 4 in a tiny garden and today it flowered (more yellow in large!).  Clearly the pollen beetles love it.. l hope they are the pollinators!!  I have never grown a pumpkin so it will be fun to see what develops
Extra is Flossie in cute pose.. she had just had a luxurious roll and l thought she had a butterfly stuck to her cheek.. she was oblivious!!
